An interesting year for Beaconsfield Ladies

Beaconsfield Ladies rounded off another successful year with a splendid Christmas party for the members. The room was decorated on a Santa’s Grotto theme and, as the ladies got comfortable, who should appear but Santa himself! With great amusement, the ladies visited Santa, who generously gave them each a kiss on the cheek a gift and a candystick – a reminder of years gone by.

The new year began with the Club’s AGM which was followed by an interactive talk on Middle Class Morality in the Victorian Era led by club member Vera Hall. This was a ladies-only event as some of the subject matter would have turned any gentleman green! However, it was very informative and got the brains working. In February there was an interesting and informative talk by Mike Beech on Russia past and present.

The programme for the next few months includes a talk, a trip, the annual quiz/games evening and a Celebration Dinner to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Club.

Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at the Beaconsfield Masonic Centre and usually begin at 7.30 pm.
