John Morris is the secretary of The Chilterns Lodge, No 4634, which meets in Beaconsfield. John's wife, Barbara, was cared for in her last few months at the Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes, before she sadly passed away.
John was extremely grateful to the staff at the Hospice for the care and comfort that they provided for Barbara and wanted to show his appreciation in a more tangible way. He was extremely pleased to present a cheque for £250 from his Lodge and has also joined the Friends of Willen Hospice, as a committee member, to help them with their fund-raising in the future.
John said: "I really wanted to do something positive for the Hospice following the loss of my wife and through the Freemasons core values of Friendship, Integrity and Charity I feel that I am doing my small part in promoting the wonderful work that the Hospice carries out."
