Personal Details

Derrick was born a Yorkshire Tyke in 1947, crossed the Pennines to obtain, in 1969, both a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from UMIST and a Lancashire Lass (Pat) as wife. He then served articles as a Chartered Accountant, ultimately becoming FCA and spent his career implementing, improving and occasionally specifying from scratch systems in their widest sense in businesses large and small, retiring from a family software business in 2018.

Masonic Biography


  • Initiated into Old Wycombiensian Lodge 6754 in 1998 and was Worshipful Master in 2005 and 2017.
  • Joined St Lawrence Lodge 8629 in 2008 and was Worshipful Master in 2015.
  • Appointed Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon in 2011.
  • Promoted to PastProvincial Grand Registrar in 2017.

Royal Arch

  • Exalted into Roman Way Chapter 9533 in 2010.
