We are a happy band of bowlers who enjoy the sport of bowling in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The Association is established for the promotion of the game of Bowls between other Masonic Provinces, Private Clubs and Associations with the Rules of the game as prescribed by Bowls England.
Full membership is open to any current or past or Honorary Members of Lodges in the United Grand Lodge of England or of any District or other Lodges recognised by them. Associate Membership is open to wives, partners and any other non-Masonic bowlers. Prospective members are expected to hold membership of a bowls club which is affiliated to Bowls England.
An annual subscription (currently £30 for full members, £20 for associate members) plus match fees for each game played, is payable. The match fee (currently £10 for everyone) includes a light two course meal.
The outdoor bowls season runs from mid-April until late September. During that time, there is usually one match each week and they are generally played on weekdays. During the remainder of the year about 10 matches are played indoors.
Our games are hosted by clubs throughout the County and, when playing away, we play other Associations in their Counties.
