W.Bro Andy Cross, IPM of St Barnabas Lodge, 948, visited the offices of Dementia UK this week to hand over a cheque for more than £1,500 as part of the funds raised during his year as Master of the Lodge.
Bletchley Freemasons recently opened the doors of their Masonic Centre and gave local residents the opportunity to chat with members and their wives and to find out more about the charitable work that is done by Bucks Freemasons for the local community.
Bucks Masonic Cycle Club Meets the Lock Riders for a Grand Ride Out
It started out as a few people having a short ride down the Grand Union Canal. Several weeks later, it had morphed into a full blown charity ride from Freemasons’ Hall on Great Queen Street in London, back to our home town of Winslow in Buckinghamshire.
The Buckinghamshire Motorcycle Lodge 9926 has now had meetings in September and October and at both meetings visitors have asked to join the Lodge because of its unique quirks. If you want to experience this for yourself, you are always welcome to come along as a visitor, even if you don't own a motorbike.
On a cool weekend in June members of St Giles 8555, from Bletchley and Secklow Hundred 9569 which meets in Stony Stratford undertook a Freemasonry in the Community project when they spent the weekend painting and cleaning the dining and social area of Everglade Sheltered Housing Scheme residence in Eaglestone, Milton Keynes.
The Buckinghamshire Masonic Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA), had a team of nine shooters attending the 12th National Masonic Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships held recently at Wedgnock Clay Shooting Ground, and hosted by The Province of Warwickshire.
