Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside!
That was certainly the view of thirty-nine young carers from High Wycombe who recently had the opportunity to visit Bournemouth for the day. The trip was organised by Beaconsfield Committee for Freemasonry in the Community to allow young carers the opportunity to experience a little time to themselves and to have fun, free from the everyday pressures of caring for a close relative.
The trip was a first for many of the carers and proved to be “The best day ever!” for one happy participant as he tucked into his seaside chips.
Maxine Lansdale, the Young Carers Activity Coordinator/ Support Worker commented, “Thanks again for funding this amazing trip! So many happy children enjoying the seaside – everything I hoped for and more”.
