Once again, the dedicated team behind Buckinghamshires Masonic Fishing Charity (MTSFC) have been busy caring for local children with a day out.
Friday the 13th saw 13 students and their carers from both Chiltern Way Academy and Alfriston School paired with MTSFC coarse casters from Bucks, Middx., Herts. and Oxon. join in for a fantastic day out of coarse fishing at Milton Pools Fishery. Bucks APGM Tony Robinson and his wife Jean were the Bucks PGL guests for the day who reported wonderful weather for all attending.
The morning started out with a safety briefing for the casters, then the chidren arrived and were paired with their casters. A fine morning with more than 20 large fish caught led to a welcome break lunch. A spread of burgers, sausages, and all the usual trimmings were gratefully fully consumed by all attending cooked by our wonderful catering team.
The fishing resumed with a total for the day of 65+ fish caught. Some were larger than 5lbs. though many ran the gambit of sizes.
Tony Robinson handed out medals for:
"Most Fish and Best Attitude" as well as "Great Casting and Ability" along with certificates and goodie bags to all children in attendance.
Many thanks to all our casters and support crew as well as Milton Pools Fishery for hosting us on the day!
