Kop Hill Climb Festival: Fundraising For The Local Community

This, our third year at Kop Hill, has been a wonderful experience for all concerned.

This year we were very pleased to extend our sponsorship by entering the Soap Box Challenge albeit without achieving the winner’s podium! Perhaps the most popular of our exhibits on our Bucks PGL Show Stand was Mark Duncan’s Tesla 75X which is the quickest 4WD SUV which silently goes from 0 – 60mph in 2.9 seconds! The Tesla’s gull-wing doors brought many admirers as did Paul William’s Aston Martin Rapide S with its 6 litre V12 engine crossing luxury with speed. The red and yellow Toy Trike was a great favourite with our younger visitors to our Show Stand, and many of the older ones too!

Kop Hill’s combination of an excellent location, historical significance and the emphasis on a family fun day together with beautiful weather and the Bucks PGL Show Tent and Marquee looking resplendent in its blue and gold livery which could be seen from every corner of the Kop Hill site, ensured we received hundreds of visitors over the whole weekend. The Show Stand Team enjoyed a great deal of interest from members of the public and our slogan ‘Don’t Wait To Be Asked’ was taken up by some one hundred and thirty positive joining enquiries.

Our Provincial Grand Master, RW. John Clark thanked all the Show Team members and everyone who assisted over the whole event and all those who contributed to the display with their special cars and motorbikes. “The whole team worked extremely hard and we were delighted to have received so much interested attention from hundreds of members of the public”.

The Show Team are already making plans for Kop Hill 2019 to make quite the event will be such a great success as 2018 has been.
