PACE Centre Visit - 22 July 2015

Children enjoying their end of term day on Wednesday the 22nd July at the PACE Centre

on Wendover Road, Aylesbury welcomed Gordon Robertson, Bucks PGM, when he popped in to see how the covered playground that Bucks Freemasons had donated £10,000 to fund was being used.
PACE is a family-centred charity which provides an innovative education for life for children with sensory motor disorders, such as cerebral palsy.
The play area was opened in January along with the Weston Centre and is part of the first stage of the building project which is eventually going to be the new Early Years and Independence Training Centre for the charity. It is a safe and secure area, sheltered from the elements, with soft flooring and many state of the art toys and learning devices which the children can enjoy with their one to one teachers.
Designed to support and educate very young children and their families, the new centre will also assist in teaching older children independence in their life with a custom designed kitchen and living space.

The picture shows Amanda Richardson (Chief Executive of PACE) with Gordon and some of the centre children and their teachers.
