Provincial Workshops 2016

Buckinghamshire, being a progressive Province, has placed great store in supplying quality support to those Brethren carrying out various roles within the Province.

Recently, “Wardens & Master Elect Workshops” together with “Secretary Workshops” took place at the Bletchley and Slough Centres.  The former was the second of a two-part programme which has been developed to help prepare Wardens and Masters Elect for the important role of Master of his Lodge.

The Secretary Workshops have been designed to assist both new and more experienced Secretaries with the rigours of the role and to act as an additional link between the Provincial Office & the Lodge.

These workshops develop over time as changes come into force from U.G.L.E. and the Provincial Office.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master responsible for Members’ Development, W. Bro. Peter Moody, said: “As a Province, we have a number of different Training Workshops in place all of which are run by dedicated and experienced Masons to help those less experienced and to achieve the best in whichever role the Brother might be undertaking.

“These also include Directors of Ceremony, Almoners, Charity Stewards and Mentors’ Workshops with additional sessions aimed at Lodge Treasurers coming soon.

“Our programmes are closely linked to each other and include the North East Corner Club, the Provincial Mentoring Programme as well as a number of central LOI Clubs, all of which are intended to assist all of our members to better understand Freemasonry and therefore enhance their enjoyment of our Order.”
