Glaucoma Research Fund receives £2,500 donation from De Bohun Lodge

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon Miss Asifa Shaikh recently received a donation of £2,500, on behalf of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, towards research into the effects and treatment of Glaucoma.

The cheque was presented by John and Doreen Hubble from money raised during John’s year as Master of De Bohun Lodge, 8175, which meets at the Masonic Centre on Ripon Street in Aylesbury.

Doreen has suffered with Glaucoma for a long time and was full of praise for Miss Shaikh and her team. She said: “Asifa has been wonderful in helping me with my condition and I’m really pleased that John and the other members of De Bohun Lodge were able to make this donation to help others in a similar situation.”

Miss Shaikh also said: “On behalf of the Trust, I am so pleased to receive this donation to help with our continued and ongoing efforts to provide the best glaucoma care and treatment for our patients.”
