Throughout my time in Freemasonry I have enjoyed the full support of my wife Sarah
And have always, wherever possible, looked to ensure that Masonry is inclusive and sensitive to the needs of our families. I wanted to let our partners share in that great day when we receive our honours and promotions in October. Allow them to be there with us and experience the beauty and splendour of the Grand Temple and see the pomp and ceremony our DCs and Stewards organise for the investiture.
After canvassing many opinions, I decided that this year we would invite our partners to attend the Provincial Meeting in October. You are also able to bring along non-masonic guests as this may enable you to generate some new candidates. We did this for the festival in 2010 and other Provinces have also done this and have given very positive feedback. I did however listen to a number of members who felt that the festive board afterwards ought to be a mason only dinner and to that end we have organised a separate dining room at the Connaught Rooms for non-masonic guests.
We have received quite a lot of feedback requesting our partners to dine with us and for this reason we will change to facilitate your request. Our partners and non-masonic guests will now dine with us.
Please use the opportunity to bring along any prospective candidates for your lodge.
